Editing an Action โ€‹

  1. Open the function (โœ๏ธ on its card).

  2. Click โœ๏ธ on the action card you want to change. The same form used to create it opens, pre-filled with the current values.

  3. Change only what you need and press Save.

  4. Ctrl+S and Build. Changes reach Second Life only after a build.

Click the step: its form opens in the inspector on the right. Every valid change is applied as you type, with no Save button in the form. Done or Esc closes it. The New Look

Things to know โ€‹

  • Changing the target keeps links and faces only if the new target has the same link names; otherwise pick them again.
  • Undo works. Ctrl+Z reverts the last edit while the page is open.
  • The card tells you a lot without opening it: target name, L: link names, F: faces, and for textures the thumbnail. If a card says No target, the action will do nothing in-world; open it and choose one.
  • For textures and materials, Quick Swap is faster than opening the form.

Editing many similar actions โ€‹

If you need to change the same field in dozens of actions:

  • Target: use Bulk Edit.
  • A shared value (sound, message, delay): move that action into a helper function and call it from each button; then there is only one place to edit.
