Get 1Click Maker

Give Items PRO 1.2.2 โ€‹

Give Items delivers items stored in the HUD to its owner, packed in an inventory folder. Use it for redelivery buttons, "get the matching shoes" buttons, notecard manuals, landmarks to your store, or unboxing HUDs.

Give Items
PRO 400 memory Object Control

Deliver items from the object to the owner, inside an inventory folder.

Requires [add-on] - Give Items - 1Click inside the object that runs the action.

How it works โ€‹

  1. Drop the items to deliver into the HUD's Content, and drop [add-on] - Give Items - 1Click in as well.

  2. In the panel, scan assets so the items appear (objects, sounds, animations, notecards and landmarks are listed; textures and materials are hidden by default, toggle Show Textures & Materials to include them).

  3. Add a Give Items action to a button and fill the form:

    FieldWhat to enter
Inventory Folder NameThe folder the customer receives, e.g. My Outfit - Extras (up to 60 characters).
Deliver the whole inventoryOn: everything in Content is delivered. Off: pick items from the list.
Item listTick the items to deliver (when not delivering everything). Search by name.
  4. Save, Build, and click the button to test: a folder offer appears in your viewer.

"Deliver the whole inventory" vs. a selection โ€‹

ModeDeliversGood for
Whole inventoryEvery item in the object's Content at the moment of the click, including items you add after the build. Never delivers the 1Click scripts.Redelivery buttons, boxes
Selected itemsOnly the ticked items."Get the bonus item" buttons

In both modes, items without copy permission are skipped: Second Life cannot give them as part of a list, and one no-copy item would make the whole delivery fail.

Finish keeps the inventory โ€‹

Normally Finish deletes everything from the HUD's Content. When the Give Items add-on is inside, Finish keeps the inventory, because those items are the product. Make sure only deliverable items are in Content before you finish: textures used by actions are fine (they are referenced by UUID and no longer needed), but delete anything you do not want customers to receive.

Notes โ€‹

  • Delivery has a 2-second cooldown to avoid double clicks sending two folders.
  • The owner sees the usual Keep / Discard offer in the viewer.
  • The action costs 400 memory units. One or two per HUD is the norm.
  • Delivery goes to the owner of the object; it cannot target other avatars.
